How are your care workers trained?
All Bait’ul Care care workers attend training in accordance with current Skills for Care Common Induction Standards. Further specialist training programmes are available, as well as a comprehensive NVQ programme. Topics covered include: Moving and Handling; Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Safe Handling of Medication, Emergency First Aid, Principles of Care, Role of Care Worker, Needs of Service User, Continence Care, Basic Infection Control and Adult Protection training. We also work closely with any partner professionals involved in a service user’s care to ensure that joint training takes place where appropriate, enabling continuous learning and adaptation to changing circumstances.
How are your care workers recruited?
Bait’ul Care have a robust recruitment and selection process, which complies with all employment legislation as well as the current Care Standards Act 2000 and related regulations requirements. This includes a Disclosure and Barring Service check, including checks against the Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) register and Protection of Children Act (POCA) list.
